I have the following information regarding the above loss

3 Jun 1943
4(F)./122
Ju 88D-1
F6+SM

Shot down by a fighter in the Krymskaya-Krasnodar area, 100%, 4 MIA.

I also have the crew details (to a point) but need clarity on the name of the Leutnant as the Loss returns for 8.6.43 are unclear.

Uffz Rudolf Riagler (F)
Lt Fritz ???llenhoff (B) <<<<<<<<<
Uffz paul Kranse (Bf)
Gefr. Martin Bänsch (Bs)

Thanks for your help.

Hi Andy,

Lt Fritz Möllenhoff served with 4.(F)/122 until Jun43 - fits nicely.

Best Regards

Andy (F)

Andy,

Just great - fits perfectly.

Many thanks for this.

On looking at the loss return the typist was having a bad day and overtyped the first character of the Lt's surname.

I will add this to my master document and then add Mollenhoff to the personnel listing for 4(F)./122

Thanks again

Quality of the copies of the loss returns vary significantly, hope you're finding them useful.

Cheers

Andy,

They are extremely useful. (Found the transport losses for Crete - so maybe another article for the wiki.....)

I am extracting the files as jpegs and that then allows me to manipulate brightness, contrast, and to play around with the levels etc.

Its amazing what you can then find.

Have been updating my master document for 122 (need to transfer items to the personnel listings as well) also been using my copy of The Battle of France TaN and the werke nummer listing in Petrick and Stocker's Me 210/410 book.

So eventually I'll be updating the web site with a lot more detail.

As I've been looking for 122 material I have also started to collate KG 54, Aufkl. Gr. ObdL and Bordfl Gr 196 for the wiki as well.

Thanks again.
