Gentlemen,

I have been trying to locate a good, clear photo of the two camera openings in the underside of the fuselage on an Me 109G-8 for publication in my forthcoming reconnaissance book. I do have one very poor quality view which is totally unsuitable for publication so I'd like to ask if anyone could point me in the direction of either a suitable photograph of this area or, failing that, perhaps a handbook or manual diagram showing these two openings.

TIA

Dave

Hi Dave,

Messerschmitt Bf109 by Prien & Rodeike has a line drawing showing a side view of the Bf109G-8 camera installation but it doesn't show the actual camera ports themselves.

Regards

Hello Andy(F),

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have a copy of Prien/Rodeike and other publications but it would be nice if I could find a clear external shot of the apertures similar to that poor quality one that I have.

Needless to say that once my book is published I'll find exactly what I'm looking for!

TTFN

Dave

Hi,

I have e-mailed Dave to let him know someone has answered 10 years after the original post.

Many thanks for posting the picture.
