Hi Adam,
Sonderstaffel Buschmann operated in the Baltic in the maritime reconnaissance role with mainly Estonian personnel and usually under Kriegsmarine operational control. In Spring 1943 it was re-designated 1.(See)/127 and 1./SAGr. 127 in Jul43.
The unit was commanded by Oblt Gerhard Buschmann (an ethnic German born in Tallinn). He was St.Kap. 12Feb42-Spring 43, he then became St.Kap. 1.(See)/127 or Gr.Kdr. Aufkl.Gr.(See)/127 [depending on which source you use] and then Gr.Kdr. SAGr. 127 [as a Hptm]
Initially equipped with Estonian PTO-4s it later received some old Ar 95s but the unit wasn't officially recognised by the Luftwaffe until Spring 43 when it was incorporated into the new Aufkl.Gr.(See)/127

Best Regards
