Hello,

I search the WNr the Ju 188, F6+GL 3 (F)./122. Loss August 6, 1944.
It has been claimed by the next crew. Pilot Flight Lieutenant Haddon, JAM and navigator Flying Officer McIlvenny, P 604 Sqdn. Combat Reports AIR 50/168.
The location of the crash is located Corseul (Côtes d'Armor) in Brittany.

I search the document LDZ-ADI (K) 479/44. In exchange I can send Fight Reports AIR 50/168.

Dan,

Currently, all I have on this appears on the Diary page.

The reference LdZ - ADI(K) 479/44 refers to some notes that Larry de Zeng provided to me a number of years ago (many thanks Larry if you read this). This indicates that he had researched this and found information in ADI(K) 479/44 at the then PRO (now national Archives, Kew).

However, on checking my files I find that I have a scanned copy of this document.....so if you want a copy of this please e-mail wekustaATntlworld.com (replace the AT with @).

I had Haddon's claim as being on 4/5 August, not 5/6 August. Is this incorrect?

Mark,

ADI(K) 479/44 has the loss as 6 Aug at 0130.

If you would like a scan of the document drop an e-mail to wekustaATntlworld.com (replace the AT with @).

There is quite a lot of detail in this document pertaining to the secondment of this crew to Stab(F)./123 at Paris/Buc.

On the night of the loss the sortie started from Paris/Buc at 23.30 hrs and the mission was to photograph the main roads into Dinan. it was over these roads that the Germans thought that Allied transport was advancing.
